Managing Your Inventory

Managing your inventory will directly affect your income. It is important to provide the highest level of service and you can't do that if you run out of supplies! Here are some ways you can manage your inventory/back bar.

1. Keep your supplies organized and in the same place so you can actually see what you have! I have all my lashes in one big drawer right behind my bed (for easy access) and all my other consumables in the drawer above it.

2. Audit yourself!
I always do a check on Mondays before my first client. If you keep it consistent (like the same day and time every week) it will become a habit!

3. Know your supplier.
Does your order normally take a day to arrive or does it take 3-5 business days? Don’t stress yourself out waiting by the window for your package.

4. Make a system that works for YOU.
I always keep at least one unopened backup of each size tray that way when I open the back up I know it’s time to order that size again. I can just glance at how many wrapped trays I have 👍🏻 (keep the plastic wrap on so you can see easily and clearly what is used and what is still unopened/new). I will always order double backup for my most used products to avoid disappointment if its ever out of stock or gets lost in the mail!

5. Plan ahead. When it’s busy season AKA holidays - always order extra! If you see you have a crazy couple weeks coming up, do yourself a solid.

6. Consumables. (Tape, Wanda, applicators, eyepads etc...)
Give yourself a rule. I keep at least 3 backups of each in stock once my backups drop to below 3, I order. Simple and I never stress. (I choose a larger number backup because I order a lot online for these items and I can’t rely on shipping sometimes)
