Building Your Clientele

Hey, I started with zero clients too.

I wanted to take the time to share with you what worked tried and true for me and my lash business!

1. Be available! It’s okay to come in early or stay late once in a. It shows your client you appreciate them and they show you loyalty in return. While you are building i important to create the best possible experience for your client so you can create a referral source - a happy customer will share their experience with all their friends and family. (same can be said for an unhappy customer so be sure to provide your highest level of service to avoid any negative impact on your business!)

2. Take foreign fills! I can not stress this enough. More times than not, you'll gain a life long client. Typically when foreign fills come in, it is because they haven't been able to achieve the look they are desiring. Listen well and ask for inspiration photos! If something isn't achievable, explain why. Your potential client will appreciate your honesty over spending their money on something they do not want.

3. Post your work! Utilize Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Youtube!
I would do free lashes on people all the time to get photos of my work out there to bring in new clients. Social media is a great FREE marketing source for your business. Build a portfolio that will attract the clientele you are looking for. Find models that fit the demographic that you are targeting.

4. Connect with other lash artists in your area! Let them know you exist so they can refer you when their books are full and vice versa. NETWORKING MATTERS.

5. Get online scheduling! Make it as easy as possible for someone to make an appointment with you.

6. Work. your. ass. off.
When you have days empty go into your studio, practice! Don’t just sit at home waiting for something to happen. Spend this time perfecting your craft and setting up inventory systems for yourself! Once you get busy, you will be thanking yourself.

I hope these tips help you!
